Design and Development, also known as D&D, is a part of the product design and development process. The goal of this phase is to do the research based on the previously done feasibility study, select all the components, make a BOM (bill of materials), and get a functional 3D model of the product.

Concept Design
Whether you have your own feasibility study, or our team was a part of making it, this is the right moment to use it. After analyzing and reviewing the study, our team will go through a brainstorming session and determine the approach to the following work. Based on all the information from the study, we will create a specification sheet with all the components, standard or fabricated, and make a bill of materials, also known as BOM. BOM contains information about your product such as size, color, shape, mass, purpose, cost, etc.

Making sketches by hand and 3D models in computer software helps us visualize the product better. The most important part about our 3D model is visualizing the product’s advantages and disadvantages. After a brainstorming session with you and making an agreement on a further approach, we move on to the next step.
Concept Development
Concept development is a phase when 3D models and simulations are made, regarded, and improved. Creating a real-life diminished model of the product is also a great way of regarding its performances and making improvements. After multiple simulations, our engineers will update the BOM, including information about both components and the final product, potential risks, upgrades, price, etc. If needed, Engineers Core will provide more brainstorming sessions, fabric components, and finish off with a detailed 3D model of an assembled prototype.
